In spectra we were given a challenge to either try to build the tallest or strongest structure out of toothpicks and gummy bears. My group choose to try to build the tallest structure, and we won. It did help that we were the only group doing height. The process that my group went through to build our structure was first we planned, then we built triangle based pyramids, then someone else starting to make the base out of them. After that we just built up. A way that my group could improve is by making the structure sturdier, after about 2 minutes the structure started to fall. This project revealed that you shouldn't trust me to build you a house, especially out of gummy bears. Also I'm pretty good at designing things, just don't trust that it will be sturdy. As a learner though I think that I know more than I did when a started. If I was the teacher comments I would make about the tower is that it is a pretty generic looking tower. I would also say that it has a strong base.Things that I would want help with when it comes to Challenge Fridays is ideas to get the ball rolling.
All in all, when it comes to my teams gummy bear tower, it was one of the best. Even though we had no competition in our category.
